Overview:
World Fit For Kids! (WFIT) is the leading nonprofit provider of after school physical activity and youth development programs for children and teens.
For the past fifteen years, WFIT has served more than 130,000 students - successfully getting kids moving and motivated. They have become healthy role models in some of the most economically challenged communities of Los Angeles.
WFIT addresses the growing childhood obesity epidemic, and inspires and educates teens and college students to be positive role models who make a difference in the lives of the youth they coach and mentor.
Our results are impressive - from improved fitness and higher grades for elementary school students to reduced dropout rates and employment for high school students.
WFIT uses physical activity, nutrition and mentoring as the hooks to create meaningful experiences that encourage each individual's understanding of both themselves and the world they live in.
