Update: 30 Podcasts Complete! Including Interview with Toronto Distress Centres’ Volunteer.

Received an update from Tricia Ryan, our Director of Marketing, who has been busy-busy on the phone. Last week Tricia interviewed more than 30 individuals who spoke about their favourite charity and their personal involvement in that charity. We then turned those interviews into Podcasts, which are downloadable and available on iTunes under the Show Us Your Goodness channel.

One of the individuals Tricia interviewed was Bob R, who spoke with great passion about his cause, the Toronto Distress Centres. Here is a United Way non-profit agency that provides round-the-clock response to those experiencing emotional distress or in need of crisis intervention and suicide prevention.

The Distress Centre agency has more than 600 volunteers at its three locations, and responds to more than 120,000 calls each year on their help-lines. Check it out. www.torontodistresscentre.com

Wow, that’s a lot of non-stop counsel for those in need. Thank you Bob R. for sharing your story and for being a champion for this wonderful community service.

Is the Riceworks Channel on the Canadian or US iTunes? I can’t seem to find it!

    Hi Laura,

I just spoke to our administrator who said the Toronto Distress Centres’ Podcast should be up by tomorrow mid-day, so please check back then.

Simply go to the iTunes website and search for “Show Us Your Goodness” and hopefully it should show up. I’ll check it too.

    Cheers,

    MF

    Hi Laura,

Hopefully I’ll get a chance to blog about your charity (Mindy’s Sanctuary) tomorrow, so you can check back back then.
