Latest Results: In 7 Days, 8,257 Votes for the People’s Pick

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

Wow, it’s been a scant seven days since we opened the voting for the People’s Pick, and the votes keep pouring in. As of this evening, March 22, we’ve received a total of 8,257 votes. That’s amazing, and demonstrates the viral power of one friend telling another and another.

Today’s leader is Rett Syndrome Foundation Trust, a Trumbull, Connecticut-based charity with 1689 votes. In second place is the Literacy Council of Kingsport, Tennessee with 730 votes and moving up fast.

So keep checking in and telling your friends to vote. Our goal is to update the voting stats every 48 hours.

The “Show Us Your Goodness” team thanks all of you for making this such an exciting, worthwhile event.

Hollywood Hears About riceworks

Friday, January 15th, 2010

Just received a quick note from our Director of Marketing, Tricia Ryan, who said Hollywood actresses Catherine O’Hara and Deidre Hall (Days of our Lives) dropped by the riceworks swag bag booth at the Beverly Hills Peninsula.

Let’s hope Tricia got a chance to chat up the two stars on our Show Us Your Goodness program. And got them to try our fabulous crisps!

Stay tuned.

Hollywood, Here We Come! Meet Us At the “Oh Canada” Party to Celebrate the 2010 Golden Globes Awards…

Thursday, January 14th, 2010

Sweet… we’re getting some genuine Hollywood attention for our “Show Us Your Goodness” program over the next few days. That’s because our busy-busy riceworks Director of Marketing, Tricia Ryan, flew into Beverly Hills this week to showcase riceworks at a “swag bag” gala for nominees and select party-goers invited to the 2010 Golden Globes Award show.

Our riceworks crisps will be featured at tonight’s party hosted by members of the Canadian Consulate at the Beverly Hills Peninsula. Naturally, between touting our famous crisps, and schmoozing with the stars, Tricia will be chatting up the merits of our fabulous charity program.

Stay tuned, and we’ll keep you posted on who she meets and greets. For more details on the swag bag party, check out the PR story in our “News” section.

Air-kisses to everybody!
