Your friends at riceworks
On a daily basis, the Show Us Your Goodness campaign sponsored by riceworks Gourmet Brown Rice Crisps will highlight one of the 33 Semi-Finalists.
Our organization has been creating friendships since 1969. We started out matching Big Brothers/Sisters with Little Brothers/Sisters and have grown to include a variety of different programs that serve both boys and girls.
Mentoring is about the power of friendship. The volunteers and young people in our programs experience the magic of everyday moments when they are shared with a friend. Everyone needs someone to laugh with, share a dream with, and just hang out… with friends it’s the little things that mean the most.
There is no fee to the Little Brother/Sisters or their family for the Big Brothers Big Sister service. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton is an associate member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada and a participating United Way Agency.

Overview:
The Ageless Dreamer® believes there’s more to caring for aging loved-ones than wheelchairs, walkers, hearing aids, lifelines, medical appointments, doctor’s prescriptions, and – even – constipation.
Dreaming is not just for the young. We believe that dreaming can enhance the quality of anyone’s life, at any stage. Encourage an elder to dream out loud and share it with us!
The mission of the Ageless Dreamer is to make LONG HELD, HEART FELT dreams come true for our oldest generation, encouraging them to dream out loud, enhancing their quality of life.
Through our efforts, we will begin to erase the stigma of being older while sparking intergenerational conversations.
